As a writer I struggled through high school because I didn't get the help when I asked. I was never good at writing a great introduction that would catch a readers eye they were always just "ok" to my teachers. We had to write an eight page paper that was worth about half our grade so I needed to do good on it and the only thing lacking was a great introduction and conclusion. I finally went to my teacher for help but he just confused me even more. I did what he told me to do and when I handed it in I was confident that I was going to get an "A" but I didn't he gave me a "C" because it was a weak introduction.
My goals to improve my writing reflect my experience because I didn't listen carefully enough to what he wanted which hurt me in the long run. I also need to work on looking at problems closely and from different perspectives to try and get a better understanding of were that writer is coming from. Going along with looking closely I have to be able to respond with appreciate feedback instead of nonsense they aren't looking for.
